Galway Bay fm newsroom – An internationally recognised producer of sculpted horse breed images has chosen a Connemara Pony for its latest design.
The image, produced by the Breyer Collection group in the United States, is based on the renowned mare, “Banks Vanilla” which is owned by Noel Noonan in Ballyconneely.
“Banks Vanilla” attracted many admirers in the Showgrounds in Clifden last August. A magnificent specimen of the Connemara breed, “Banks Vanilla” was actually born in Denmark and bought back into Ireland in more recent years, by Noel Noonan who keeps ponies in Ballyconneely.
The mare has won an array of riding and eventing competitions in Britain and Europe and has latterly won in-hand classes at many Shows.
When the makers of the Breyers Collection of sculpted horse images looked for a Connemara pony, they selected “Banks Vanilla” as a model for the breed.
The Breyers Collection company has been making horse images for over 60 years and their products are prized possessions among collectors internationally.
“Banks Vanilla” is the first Connemara Pony chosen as a model.
The image of “Banks Vanilla” will be unveiled at the Olympia Horse Show in London later this month.
