Call for unused IDA sites in Galway to be promoted

Galway Bay fm newsroom - There is a call for unused IDA properties in Galway to be promoted to attract new Foreign Direct Investment.

Fianna Fáil T.D Eugene Murphy says 98 of 152 properties owned by the IDA nationwide are lying idle.

Deputy Murphy says that over 8 hectares of land is idle in Ballinasloe, while a further 3.5 hectares is vacant in Ballygar.

Smaller sites in Mountbellew and Glenamaddy are also available while, there are more than 10 hectares vacant at Tuam Technology Park.
