In the Lough Rea Hotel & Spa Senior Camogie Championship last night, All-Ireland champions Sarsfields beat Ardrahan 1-14 to 1-12; and Eyrecourt were 1-16 to 0-18 victors against Craughwell. Both games went to extra-time.
Cliodhna Walsh scored Ardrahan's goal midway during the second half before Rachel Murray responded with a Sarsfields green flag.
Two late Niamh McGrath frees secured Sarsfields the victory.
This evening, last year’s runners-up St. Thomas face Oranmore/Maree in Castledaly at 7.30pm.
There’s two games in the intermediate championship. Ballinderreen welcome neighbours Kinvara; while Pearses take on Kiltulla/Killimordaly in Ballymacward. Both games throw-in at 7.30pm.
Last night, Ahascragh/Caltra recorded a 2-12 to 0-10 victory over Shamrocks.
