Galway Camogie and their sponsors WGNStar have ended their partnership after just three years of a five-year agreement.
In a released statement on Thursday (5th December), Galway chairperson Brian Griffin said the deal was recognized as groundbreaking.
There are no further details as yet regarding any new sponsor.

WGNSTAR and Galway Camogie have confirmed that after 3 years of partnership they will not be renewing their sponsorship agreement.
Reflecting on the past 3 years Brian Griffin, Chairperson of Galway Camogie commented that without, what was recognised as groundbreaking in terms of the dedicated sponsorship and generous support from WGNSTAR (Westerwood Global) Galway Camogie would not be in the position it is today.
Another first for Camogie supported by WGNSTAR. was the introduction of the new 2022 sponsored jerseys, proudly displaying the LBQT+ colours included in their kit design.
Reflecting on the past 3 years, Geoffrey Stoddart, of WGNSTAR commented “that we were proud to be innovators in terms of the nature of the sponsorship by raising the bar both at County and indeed Country
level but also helping to create the incredible success that Galway Camogie have achieved especially on the pitch, during the period of WGNSTAR sponsorship.
The roll call of achievements during WGNSTAR tenure as sponsors includes the following:
1. Senior league champions 2021
2. Minor all Ireland finalists 2022
3. Intermediate all Ireland champions senior league champions 2022
4. Under15 all Ireland champions 2022.
5. Senior league champions all Ireland u16 finalists u14 all Ireland champions 2023.
6. Senior all Ireland finalists Senior league finalists u16 all Ireland finalists 2024.
Stoddart goes on to wish all at Galway Camogie, the very best for the coming season and beyond with a special call out for, their wonderful, enthusiastic and committed players, for which it has been a great
privileged for WGNSTAR to have had the opportunity to support with their successes to date.
