There was disappointment for NUIG Maree in the Men's Super League on Saturday as they lost out to DBS Eanna 96-83 helped by a strong finish by the Dublin side in the fourth quarter. DBS Éanna trailed 44-43 at half-time and led by just a single point 63-62 going into the final quarter, before powering home. Lovre Tvrdic was NUIG Maree’s top scorer with 21 points, while Jeryn Lucas and Deondre Jackson each scored 17. Sunday’s game between Moycullen and Killester was postponed due to Covid-19.
In Division 1, Titans were beaten at home by Drogheda Wolves on Saturday evening. Titans top scorers were Comhghall McCormack (15), Malik Thiam (13) and Joseph Coughlan (12).
Finally, in the Women's Division 1, Saturday saw South Conference leaders NUIG Mystics win 79-55 at Swords Thunder, Áine McDonagh scored 20 points, while Kara McCleane notched up 17 and Sara Messler had 9.
