Galway United have confirmed that Vinny Faherty has left the club and joined Sligo Rovers.
The 30-year-old former St Patrick’s Athletic, Dundalk and Limerick striker departs Eamonn Deacy Park after making 170 appearances for the club, scoring 38 goals.
Galway United manager Shane Keegan commented:
“Vinny hasn’t featured quite as much as he would’ve liked to in the last few weeks. The freshness of a new club is what he was after.
