● Very celebrates 9 years as title sponsor of the Very Camogie Leagues
● The Very Camogie League Division 1A and 2A finals will take place at Semple Stadium, Thurles on Sunday, 13th April, with the 2A final (Derry v Offaly) at 12.15pm and the 1A final (Cork v Galway) at 2.15pm.
● The Division 3A final (Laois v Roscommon) will take place on Saturday, 12th April.
Very was today joined by six intercounty Camogie players to launch the 2024 Very Camogie League Finals taking place this weekend. The 2025 Very Camogie League Finals are set for an exciting weekend of high-stakes action, as the top teams in Divisions 1A, 2A, and 3A prepare to battle it out for national glory. Laura Hayes (Cork), Carrie Dolan (Galway), Rachel McAllister (Derry), Orlagh Phelan (Offaly), Liadan Fennell (Laois) and Rachel Fitzmaurice (Roscommon) gathered in Dublin in advance of the finals.
This year’s Division 2A and 1A finals will take place at Semple Stadium, Thurles on Sunday, April 13, and the Division 3A final scheduled for Saturday, April 12 in Kinnegad.
In Division 1A, Cork and Galway renew their long-standing rivalry at 2.15pm on Sunday in what promises to be a thrilling final. The sides met earlier in the league, with Galway coming out on top – but with both teams now at full strength, a new chapter awaits in Thurles.
Earlier that day, Derry and Offaly will contest the Division 2A final at 12.15pm, also at Semple Stadium. Meanwhile, Laois and Roscommon will go head-to-head in the Division 3A final on Saturday, following a tightly fought campaign that showcased the depth of talent across the league.
9 Years of Support: Very and Camogie
This season marks Very’s ninth year as title sponsor of the Very Camogie Leagues. Through its continued support, Very has helped elevate the visibility of the sport, champion its players, and foster a stronger connection between Camogie and communities across Ireland.

Cork’s Laura Hayes said:
“We've had a strong campaign so far, with some strong performances and tough challenges along the way. Our victories over Waterford, Dublin, Kilkenny, and Tipperary showed the determination this team has. We're making sure we're at our best for the final. It's been a journey of growth, and we’re ready to give it everything we’ve got this weekend. The team has shown resilience, and we're all motivated to finish the league on a high note.”
Roscommon’s Rachel Fitzmaurice said:
“While we had tough losses to get here, we’ve shown real resilience, bouncing back with strong performances against Wicklow and Louth. The way we’ve adapted and grown through the campaign, especially after those setbacks, speaks volumes about the determination of this team. We know there are areas to improve, but we’re focused on bringing our best game to the final.”
Offaly’s Orlagh Phelan said:
“We’ve had an impressive run to the final, with solid performances across the board. Our wins over Kerry, Derry, Meath, Carlow, and Armagh have been a testament to the hard work and determination of this team. Every game has helped us build momentum, and we've continued to improve with each round. We’re especially proud of our strong defensive performances and clinical finishing. The focus now is on the final, where we’ll bring the same intensity and commitment to give ourselves the best chance of success. We’re ready and excited for the weekend.”
Laois’ Líadan Fennell said:
“Our journey to the final has been one of strong, consistent performances across the board. We’ve worked hard to build momentum, and our attacking play has been a real strength, with some great scores along the way. With the final now ahead of us, we’re focused on maintaining that same energy and intensity, and we’re determined to give it everything we have to finish the season on top.”
Derry’ Rachel Mcallister said:
“Our journey to the final has been a mix of ups and downs, but we've shown incredible resilience throughout. The win over Carlow in the first round gave us the confidence we needed, and our performances against Armagh, Meath, and Kerry showed the strength of this team. While the loss to Offaly was a setback, we've used it as motivation to grow and improve. Our determination to push forward, regardless of the challenges, has been key to our success. Now, we’re fully focused on the final, ready to bring everything we've learned and give it our all on the field.”
Galway’s Carrie Dolan said:
“It's been a challenging but rewarding journey to reach this final. Winning 4 out of the 5 games in the group has really shown the strength of our panel, and we feel we have improved with each game. We’re delighted to be in the final, we know it’s going to be a massive challenge but it’s one we are really looking forward to".
