Following the weekend senior club hurling championship action, St Thomas', Castlegar, Liam Mellows, Gort, Sarsfields, Turloughmore, Tynagh Abbey Duniry and Padraig Pearses have all guaranteed they will be involved in the knock-out stages, with one round of games left to play after next Sunday's meeting of Ahascragh Fohenagh and Clarinbridge (Sun 3.30pm Kenny Park) and Ballinderreen v Killimordaly (Sun. 5pm Kenny Park) in Senior B Group 2.
In the Intermediate Championship, Kinvara, Oranmore Maree and Meelick Eyrecourt are guaranteed to make the quarter finals by finishing in the top 4 of their groups, with 3 matches in Group 1 next weekend set to make the picture a lot clearer in that group: Castlegar v Killimor (Sat. 4pm Kenny Park), Kiltormer v Kilconieron (Sun. 12 noon Loughrea), Kinvara v Kilbeacanty (Sun. 1.30pm Loughrea).
