Galway Kettlebell Club took 3 medals at the Seven minute competition hosted by Portumna Kettlebell Club on Saturday 15th April.
The AIKLF event was attended by over 110 athletes including juniors,youths and veterans from various AIKLF clubs around Ireland.
Lifters competed in disciplines Snatch, Jerk and Long Cycle lifting the Kettlebell overhead for 7 minutes.
Sarah Smith club coach and director was the only professional female Snatch lifter at the event where she achieved gold with 24kg and a personal best of 80 reps.
She also took bronze in Long Cycle 24kg discipline.
"I have trained for years to get this result with Snatch and ive come up against a lot of obstacles along the journey but I've never given up or let it stop me reaching my goal at professional level"
Other club member Didier Bouic took gold in Long Cycle discipline lifting 2x28kgs for 7 minutes.
The club is busy preparing for the next event, a Ten minute Grand Prix to be held in Wexford in July.
