Galway's Intermediate and Senior camogie teams featured on All-Ireland Final day with conflicting results. Unfortunately, the Intermediates were beaten by Westmeath but the Seniors produced an stunning hour and a bit of camogie to win the Liberity Insuracne All-Ireland Senior title beating Kilkenny by 3-14 to 0-17 at Croke Park.

And so, the celebrations began and thoughts turned to the return home. Plans were put in place and speaking on the Keith Finnegan show, Tommy Devane was joined by Imelda Hobbins and Ann Kearney in the Bonnington Hotel.

Next was supposed to be Cappataggle Cross but the incredible crowd at Aughrim meant an unscheduled stop for the team. But it was certainly worth it...

The celebrations were now certainly in full swing and the cavalcade neared Cappataggle, home club of Vice Captain Catriona Cormican, It was so good we had to go there twice! This report is as they were approaching Cappataggle Cross...

And then, when they arrived in Cappataggle where Tommy was joined by Catriona Cormican and by the chairman of Cappataggle Camogie Club Des Kilcreest.

There were two stops left on their journey home and an incredible crowd had gathered in Mullagh to welcome home their captain Sarah Dervan.

There was still one more stop and another outstanding crowd gathered in the Lough Rea Hotel and Spa as the journey home came to a close.
