‘Ceiliúradh LGFA le Lidl’, presented by Gráinne McElwain,
will be broadcast on TG4 at 8:15pm on Saturday next 14th September - the eve of
this year’s TG4 All-Ireland Ladies Football Finals at Croke Park.

The programme will visit all six counties playing in the
Junior, Intermediate and Senior All-Ireland Ladies Football Finals in Croke
Park on Sunday afternoon.

‘Ceiliúradh LGFA le Lidl’ will have a number of musical acts
and interviews with players, managers, families and feature some special videos
to mark the weekend.

Former players will reflect on this year’s Championship and
on the games taking place on the following day.

Ladies Football is enjoying massive levels of popularity and
is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country.

Last year, a record breaking 50,141 people attended the
All-Ireland Finals in Croke Park.

Furthermore, a total of 475,000 viewers tuned in to TG4’s
live coverage of the Ladies Finals peaking at 284,000 during the closing stages
of the Senior Final between Dublin and Cork.

The programme will be streamed live to a worldwide audience
on the TG4 Player on www.tg4.ie

The captains from the six counties competing in the 2019 TG4
All-Ireland Ladies Football Finals were present at Croke Park today ahead of
Sunday’s eagerly-anticipated LIVE TG4 triple-header.

Fermanagh and Louth will battle it out for the Junior title,
Meath face Tipperary for the Intermediate crown and champions Dublin tackle
Galway for the Senior silverware at GAA HQ.

Dublin are aiming to win the Brendan Martin Cup for the
third successive year, following on from victories over Mayo in 2017, and Cork
last year.

Standing in their way are Galway, who beat Dublin in 2004,
to win their one and only TG4 All-Ireland Senior crown.

Galway are back in the TG4 All-Ireland Senior Final for the
first time since 2005, when they were defeated by a Cork side about to embark
on a period of dominance.

Meath return to Croke Park seeking the Intermediate title
which eluded them last year.

Eamonn Murray’s side lost out to Tyrone, but they have the
chance to make amends when they face Tipperary.

The Premier County will provide formidable opposition,
however, and Shane Ronayne’s side won this competition two years ago.

The Junior Final also features a county with redemption
within reach, as 2018 runners-up Louth take on Fermanagh, the 2017 winners.

Marie Hickey, President of the Ladies Gaelic Football
Association, was present at Croke Park to welcome the captains from the six
participating counties.

She said: “It’s that time of year again, when we prepare to
crown our three TG4 All-Ireland Championship winners.

“These are there games to savour and I’m looking forward to
some spectacular football, in line with the season we’ve had to date.

“Dublin and Galway will bring memories of 2004 flooding back
for both counties, while Meath and Tipperary have provided some excellent
football during their respective Intermediate campaigns.

“Getting proceedings underway are Louth and Fermanagh, who
will battle it out for the West County Hotel Cup.

“The road to the Finals has been exhilarating, with so many
great moments and brilliant action along the way.

“We’ve had a fantastic 2019 campaign to date and hosting our
Senior Championship semi-finals at Croke Park for the very first time was a big
highlight.

“Now we’re back at the famous venue again for the three Finals
that will see our champions crowned.

“We are very fortunate that TG4 continue to be our
Championship partners and broadcast our game, not just nationally, but to a
worldwide audience, free to air.

“I am really looking forward to watching ‘Ceilúradh LGFA le
Lidl’ on Saturday evening, a show that should whet the appetite for what lies
in store on Sunday.

Speaking on behalf of TG4, Head of Sport Rónán Ó Coisdealbha
said: “We would like to take this opportunity to thank the LGFA and Lidl for
their partnership and support and we look forward to a great weekend of Ladies
Football.

“TG4 is very proud of our sponsorship of Ladies Football and
for providing extensive coverage of these matches on free-to-air television to
a global audience.”

All three games will be broadcast live on TG4 starting with
the Junior Final which gets underway at 11.45am. The Intermediate Final throws
in at 1.45pm while the Senior Final will have a 4.00pm start.

The All-Ireland Club Sevens, featuring 70 teams, take place
at the St. Sylvester’s and Naomh Mearnóg GAA Clubs in Dublin on Saturday, the
14th of September.

The LGFA is delighted to welcome teams from all over Ireland
and Britain for an event that is now a firm favourite on the annual LGFA
calendar.

Tune in at 8:15pm next Saturday evening 14th September on
TG4 for ‘Ceiliúradh LGFA le Lidl’.
