Sylane hurlers will bid to become the first Galway and Connacht side to qualify for an All Ireland Junior Club hurling final on Saturday when they take on St Mogues from Fethard in Wexford at 3pm in Parnell Park. Fethard are 1/5 favourites to qualify for the All Ireland final in Croke Park after they beat John Lockes of Kilkenny in the Leinster final, while Sylane claimed a 3rd provincial title in Connacht with an easy win over Calry St Josephs in November. In Sylane's two previous All Ireland semi finals they were beaten by Eoghan Rua (Derry) in 2016 (pictured above) and Moyle Rovers (Tipperary) in 2008, and they are bidding to end a run of 8 straight defeats by Galway clubs at this stage of the competition.
