Runners, joggers and walkers will have a big evening out on Saturday April 8th, teaming up with Ballinrobe Smarter Travel awareness campaign, organisers have come up with a classic flat course taking in the Ballyglass Rd, Carnelecka, Liskillen and Cloongowla roads with a Finish in the town at Abbey St. We expect fast times and hope as many participants as possible set new PB's on the 5 and 10k routes.
There are 2 events been held with a 5k walk open to all especially families as children are free, this event starts sharp at 6.pm, the route is a shortened lap of the 10k route. This distance is not a race but we will have a giant finish clock so all participants can see their finish time.
The 10k event starts at 7pm and is also a one lap course that is more or less pancake flat and we are expecting super fast times.

Loumoy construction will sponsor prizes for the first local athlete’s home, Declan Moran director of the company is an athlete himself and wants to give something back to the community from which he gets alot of business from.
Registration is open from 3.30 to 5.30pm for the 5k and 3.30pm to 6.30pm for the 10k at Treacy’s Pharmacy picture of health Main St Ballinrobe, all participants must register and collect their numbers.
Abbey St will be a hive of activity so bring all the family out and cheer on all the participants.
