Connacht's Mack Hansen has received a six week ban following comments he made about the match officiating after their defeat to Leinster in the BKT United Rugby Championship in December.
An Independent Disciplinary Panel upheld a charge of misconduct against the player with three of those weeks suspended. Connacht were also give a suspended €10,000 fine.
As a result, Hansen will now miss Connach's next three games, starting with this Saturday's (11th January 2025) home fixture against Lyon in the European Challenge Cup. The winger will also sit out the trip to Cardiff six days later, and the away game against Glasgow Warriors in the URC on Friday, 24th January.
Both Hansen and Connacht have the right to appeal.
