The draw for the semi-finals of the Connacht Junior Cup will see Castlebar at home to Creggs and Tuam at home to Connemara. In Sunday’s
Connemara 13 Buccaneers 10 - A second-half try from Barry Gibbons prove the difference as Connemara edged out Buccaneers at the Monastery Field. The All Blacks led at half time 8-5.
Creggs 20 Monivea 6 - three tries from Alan Brandon, Tom Flynn and Maurice Buckley helped Creggs to ease their way into the last 4. Shane Dowd with a conversion and Ronan Dowd with a penalty completed the scoring.
Tuam 14 Ballina 6 - The holders Ballina were knocked out by brilliant Tuam at Garraun Park. A first-half try by Ian Murphy helped Tuam to a halftime lead of 5-3. Three second-half penalties from Killian McDonagh sealed a famous win for Tuam.
Castlebar 14 Corrib 12 - A try from Luke Staunton, three penalties from the boot of Damien Togher and a man of the match display from David Staunton helped Castlebar past the spirited challenge of Corrib in a really close encounter.
