Mullagh full back Sarah Dervan has been named the new Galway senior Camogie captain for 2018.
The four-time All-Star has been handed the role for the coming year with Galway beginning their season away to Cork this Sunday (2pm Cork Camogie Grounds) in the Littlewoods National Camogie League.
Sarah has been one of Galway's prominent players over the last number of years playing her part in the 2009 All-Ireland intermediate winning team, Mullagh's 2014 county senior triumph, and of course Galway's All-Ireland senior camogie title success in 2013.
Her individual displays have seen her win four consecutive All-Star awards between 2013 and 2016 and we wish Sarah the very best of luck and hope she gets to walk the steps of the Hogan Stand in September.
