Connacht will play in next season's European Champions Cup after the tournament organisers confirmed 24 teams will take part in the competition.
The new format for next season’s Heineken Champions Cup rugby has been announced.
The sides will be split into two pools of 12 sides, seeded based on their positions in this year’s PRO14, Top 14 in France, and England’s Premiership.
Each side will play four group games (two home and two away) with the top four in each pool advancing to the quarter-finals.
Teams 5-8 will drop down to the Challenge Cup.
