Rola Olusola Signs for Galway for 2024

Galway United have announced that Rola Olusola has re-signed for the senior women’s team ahead of the 2024 season.

The 18-year-old forward has committed to The Tribeswomen for 2024 and heads into her second season in Galway since signing for the club last year.

Olusola started her professional career at Galway WFC in 2022, making seven appearances before moving to Galway United 12 months ago.

The Galway native made 18 appearances in all competitions last season for United and scored four goals in that period.

She came into form in the second half of the season particularly, causing havoc for almost any defence she came up against. Olusola ended the season on a high, scoring against Wexford Youths in a comprehensive win.

Internationally, Olusola has represented the Republic of Ireland at U19 level with ten caps, making her debut in 2022. Where she also plays with fellow Tribeswomen, Kate Thompson and Eve Dossen (pictured below with Rola Olusola) Rola has a brilliant quality on the ball, possesses raw pace and technicality which brings a real edge to United’s attack.

She’s certainly a player to keep a close eye on in the coming season.

Our players are also available for sponsorship at the minute. To make an enquiry, please email Sam O’Neill at [email protected] to get involved for next season.
