The draws for the Preliminary Round and Round 1 of the RDFL Challenge Cup were made this evening at the League Headquarters in Lecarrow under the watchful eye of the newly elected RDFL Secretary, Joe Keenan. Congratulations to Joe on his appointment as league secretary.
The preliminary round games are scheduled for the weekend of the 27th and 28th of January. The preliminary round games drawn were Ballinasloe Town B at home to Shiven Rovers B and Ahascragh United at home to Dunmore Town. The winners will then go into the first round to be played the weekend of the 17th and 18th of February. The winners of Ballinasloe Town and Shiven will be away to Cam Celtic and the winners of Ahascragh and Dunmore will be at home to CP Ajax. The other first round games see Moylough 79 at home to Castlerea Celtic B, Boyle Celtic B have been drawn away to Skyvalley Rovers B, Kilkerrin United are at home to Roscommon United. Glen Celtic are away to Strokestown United, Lough Harps host Hodson Bay Athletic and Rahara Rovers will be at home to Cloonfad United B. All other teams enter at the second round stage.
