The Tribeswomen are back in action tonight in Turners Cross this evening to face Cork City FC with a chance of going level on points with Shelbourne in second place.
United are looking to build on their 5 game unbeaten run and if they could match a fraction of the result they got last fixture against Cork City FC, it would go a long way in what remains of their league campaign. The last time the sides faced eachother was in the second round of the league, on March 16th of this year. It was arguably United's most dominant performance of the season - Julie-Ann Russell's brilliant hattrick, Jenna Slattery's double and a clean sheet all combining for what seemed the perfect result.
United and their supporters will also have one eye on the simulataneous fixture tonight of Sligo Rovers and Shelbourne, hoping the Rovers can do a repeat of their season opener and manage some points against Shels.
With only 12 points maximum in the league for United to claim and a 5 point gap to league leaders Athlone Town, Phil Trill and his side know that tonight's fixture is a must-win.
