Portumna to take narrow lead to Ballinrobe in Connacht Shield Final

Portumna will take a 3-2 lead to Ballinrobe this Saturday into the second leg of their Connacht Shield final after an intense and tight opening round of matches last Saturday in Portumna. Two of the Three Singles matches were decided on the 18th, as was one of the Foursomes matches, but it was the visitors Ballinrobe who have made themselves marginal favourites to win the Shield outright after claiming two valuable 'Away' points
