OVER THE LINE: Greyhound Racing Celebrates 90 Years in Galway

Next month (July), Galway Greyhound Stadium celebrates 90 years of racing action and to celebrate that milestone, Galway Bay FM's George McDonagh spoke to several people who have had huge connections with the College Road venue over the years.

Firstly, we start with Bohermore native Deirdre Scully about her fond memories of growing up with greyhounds in Galway. Then, we will hear from Brigit Frank from the Retired Greyhound Trust, former Control Steward Lexie Marmion and the Director of Racing at Greyhound Racing Ireland Derek Frehill.

Next we hear from well known sporting sponsor PJ Fahy about his hugely successful time in greyhound racing.

And we will hear from father and son Ted and Des Flaherty, Lorna Scully, daughter of the late Sean Scully, Tony Fahy Junior on taking over from his legendary uncle Tony Senior, Irish Oaks winning owner Marissa Molloy and local owner Brian Divilly on his memories of Galway Greyhound Track.
