Oranmore-Maree gaelic football team have won the All-Ireland Community Games Championship

For the first time in 21 years, the Under 10 Oranmore-Maree gaelic football team have won the All-Ireland Community Games Championship.

 

A special celebration for the team and coaches and supporters will take place in Oranmore this evening (Tue).

The convoy of players will begin their route from Oranmore church car park at 7p.m heading towards Rinville and turning left at Kelly’s Cross, continuing on to Maree Cross, past Greally’s Shop and then turning right into Old Maree pitch.

 

They’ll then continue to Ballinacourty and back down through Creganna, turning left onto Limerick Road, taking the next left for Lidl, going through Oranmore village, passing Oran Town Centre, and finishing at Oranmore GAA pitch where they will be a big celebration.

Everyone is urged to wear the GAA club colours to support the Oranmore-Maree team, who represented Galway at the Championships, beating Lissycasey from Clare with a scoreline of 8 goals and 8 points to 4 goals and 8 points.
