A team of 14 students from NUI Galway with 3 students from GMIT and one from Mary Immaculate College Limerick came 2nd in their competition and were placed 3rd in the Worlds University Cheerleading Competition at Disney Orlando. The team travelled to America to take on the juggernaut that is American Cheerleading and showcase the cheerleading talent out of Ireland!
The NUI Galway and GMIT cheerleading squads have come together and become the first ever collegiate-level cheerleading squad to compete at the
Cheerleading University World Championships in Orlando Florida. The Tribes won silver in the co-ed section with The tribes taking bronze overall against all the other international teams. Their Coach is Fiona Collumb from Ace High Cheer, Tuam.
