Congratulations to Monivea a.b.c boxer Adam Hession for his U18 National Title win on Saturday evening. Boxing in the 46kg weight division he defeated Dermot Toland of Phoenix BC on a 3/2 decision. After conceding the first round Adam came back strong winning the remaining two rounds through a determined attitude and effective three punch combinations.
In the semi final of the U18 91kg division Tomas Cogley boxed John Maughan of Ennis BC. After a good display in the first round, Thomas took a few heavy shots towards the end of the second round at which point the referee stepped in to stop the contest.
Well done to both boxers.
