The 2022 All-Ireland Gaelic Masters (Over 40s) football championship will get underway on Saturday, May 7. A full fixture schedule will be drawn up in the coming weeks, with Tyrone set to defend the title they won last year by defeating Dublin 2-9 to 1-8 in the final. Galway, who are managed this year by Mike Quinn from the St Brendans club, will be looking to win their first title since they completed 3 All Irelands in a row in 2014. Training for the Galway Masters continues on Monday nights at 9pm in Turloughmore Astro pitch and following the Gaelic Masters AGM in the Longford Arms Hotel last Saturday, a motion was passed that all members must be registered online to play.
