On Sunday next (March 19th) as part of the St. Patrick's weekend celebrations, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, fun cycle races will take place using the Galway City Bike Share Coke Zero Bikes on a race route that will involve High Street, Mainguard Street and Upper Cross Street. Cyclists from various clubs in the county will take place in a number of races that will be in a format of relays and knockouts of up to 12 laps. It will also be a fundraising event for ACT for Meningitis and Cycle Legend Sean Kelly will take part at event on the Sunday, where there will also be a celebrity race on the evening. The Event is being organised by Galway Bay Cycling Club, Latin Quarter and Nigel's Cycles. This is an opportunity to promote the Coke Zero Bike Share scheme in city and its new locations and also help promote Galway as European Green Leaf City 2017.
