For the first time ever Galway Ladies will endeavour to secure the premier league title with an away win next weekend Sunday April 2nd against Dublin Volleyball Club.
This final crunch match is vital for them to win, as Garda VC are hot on their heels in second place with only one point separating the teams. Last weekend the Galway ladies had a massive 3-0 win over Ballymun Volleyball Club, maintaining their top of the table position. Galway won their sets 25 - 8, 25 -17 and 25 - 6.
They will need to maintain this standard to achieve their goal of winning the premier league.
The Galway Ladies Volleyball Club are also in contention to do the extremely difficult double (Premier League and Association Cup wins). They must play the ever competitive Garda VC in their semi-final which will take place on April 9th in Holy Family Secondary School, Newbridge. The winners will pay UCD or Trinity in the final on April 22nd in UCD Sports Complex.
The Presentation of all the Premier League and Cup awards will take place at the awards dinner in the Radisson Blu Hotel in Dublin on April 22nd.
