Galway commenced their campaign in ideal fashion in Pearse Stadium on Sunday (6th February) with a double scores victory over Offaly.
It was Henry Shefflin's second win over his fellow Kilkenny man Michael Fennelly in four weeks as the Tribesmen never trailed over the 70 minutes.
Gearoid McInerney, Evan Niland, John Fleming and Donal O'Shea scored the goals for the maroon and white.
Galway Bay FM's Niall Canavan reports.
Afterwards, Niall caught up with Galway's Conor Whelan, who scored three points.
Finally, Niall spoke to Galway manager Henry Shefflin.
