It was a night of celebration at the Ardulaun Hotel on Saturday Night as Galwegians RFC celebrated 100 years in existence with a gala ball.
It has been an extraordinary occasion with guest of honour (and true Wegian) Damian Brown being bestowed honorary life membership following his incredible achievements with his most recent solo row across the Atlantic from New York to Galway making headlines across the world.
John Mulligan was there and spoke to several club members as they looked back at 100 years of Galwegians RFC.
John first spoke to the President of Galwegians Frank Kinneen.
John then spoke to the President of the IRFU John Robinson from Ballinahinch
A true stalwart of Galwegians is James Heaslip who spoke to John before the event.
Ruth O'Reilly is the Director Of Women's Rugby at the club and a true Galwegians Legend
Stephanie Dowling was the first captain of the Women's Team at the club
Alan Quinlan hosted a question and answer session with several Galwegians legends
And Finally - The guest of honour himself - Damian Browne
