Máire Connolly, who won Gold and Bronze at the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Turin, will be making a triumphant homecoming to Clarinbridge this evening.
The athlete, who is based in Dublin with the Kilternan Karvers Special Olympic Ski Club, won Gold in the Novice Giant Slalom and Bronze in the Novice Super G putting her in a unique position of having won Gold medals and the Summer and Winter World Games having taken Gold in the Gymnastics in Berlin in 2023.
