Galway United maintain unbeaten home league form with 3-1 win over Waterford

Galway United maintained their season-long unbeaten run at home as a brace of first-half Edward McCarthy goals and a second-half strike from Wassim Aouachria helped them to a 3-1 victory over Waterford at Eamon Deacy Park last night.

The Waterford goal came from Sam Perry ten minutes from time.

Next up for John Caulfield’s side is the final away game of the season in Limerick against Treaty on Saturday, before the presentation of the Airtricity League First Division trophy on Friday night week after the last game of the season at home to Wexford.

After the game, Mike Rafferty spoke to Galway United assistant manager Ollie Horgan.
