Galway United took another big result in the SSE Airtricity League Women's Premier Division on Saturday (29th March 2025), beating then leaders Shamrock Rovers in Eamonn Deacy Park.
Three times, the Tribeswomen led with first-half goals from Abbie Callanan and Niamh Farrelly, cancelled out by the Hoops' Emily Corbett and a spectacular strike from Republic of Ireland international Ruesha Littlejohn from the half-way line.
However, United weren't to be denied as Emma Doherty stepped up with a 79th-minute winner to keep them on maximum points from three games, just one behind leaders Athlone Town.
Galway United defender Aoibhinn Costello chatted to Galway Bay FM's Mike Rafferty afterwards.
Mike also got the thoughts of Galway United manager Phil Trill.
Galway United's next game is at home to Wexford FC on Saturday, 12th April. Kick-off at Eamonn Deacy Park is 5pm.
