Galway Hurling Board Confirm Next Round Of County Senior And Intermediate Hurling Championships

The Galway Hurling board have confimed the fixtures
for the next round of games in the Harbour Hotel Intermediate and Salthill
Hotel Senior Hurling Championships with games starting on Thursday the 15^th
of August and going to Saturday the 17^th. On Thursday the 15^th,
there will be games in the Intermediate championship with Moycullen taking on
Turloughmore in Kenny Park and Meelick-Eyrecourt taking on Annaghdown in Duggan
Park. Both games will throw in at 7pm.

On Friday, there will be three games in the
Intermediate Championship. Kenny Park will host Kinvara and Carnmore, Gort will
be the venue for Castlegar and Killimor and Loughrea will host Rahoon-Newcastle
and Kiltormer with all games at 7pm.

On Saturday, the action will get underway with four
games at 1pm. In the Senior A Hurling Championship, Liam Mellows will face
Portumna in Loughrea and in the Senior B Hurling Championship,
Ahascragh/Fohenagh will take on Craughwell in Duggan Park, Oranmore/Maree take
on Athenry in Pearse Stadium and Abbeyknockmoy takes on Ballindereen in Kenny
Park. At 1.45, Gort is the venue for Tynagh/Abbey-Duniry and Sarsfields in the
Senior A Championship.

There are five games at 2.45. In the Senior A
Championship, Turloughmore face Tommy Larkins in Duggan Park, St Thomas take on
Castlegar in Pearse Stadium and Gort face Cappataggle in Loughrea. In the
Senior B, Padraig Pearses take on Beagh in Kenny Park and in the Intermediate,
Sylane take on Kilbeacanty in Clarinbridge. Finally in the Senior A Hurling
Championship at 3.30, Loughrea face Kilnadeema/Leitrim in Gort.

The Senior B Championship games featuring
Killimordaly and Mullagh and Ardrahan and Clarinbridge will be played as a
double header in Kenny Park on Sunday the 24^th of August.
