Galway meet Monaghan on Sunday for the 8th time since 1980 in the national football league, with both sides in contention for a place in the Division 1 final. Galway are joint top of the table with Dublin after winning all four of their opening games, while Monaghan have won their last three games after a narrow opening day defeat to Mayo. Both sides have yet to concede a goal in this years competition with Galway having a marginally better scoring record after scoring a goal in each of their four games to date.
