Galway have secured their second victory in the National Football League following a 2-8 to 2-7 win over Donegal in Letterkenny.
Second half goals from Johnny Heaney and Sean Kelly in a
14-minute purple patch that yielded 2-4 ultimately swung this contest in the
Tribesmen’s favour.
A Michael Murphy penalty on 21 minutes, resulting in Galway
keeper Connor Gleeson getting a black card, gave Donegal a 1-3 to 0-4 interval
lead.
The Tir Conaill men also lost Paul Brennan for 10 minutes afterwards but despite losing Michael Daly to a red card, Galway survived eight minutes of added time in another one-point ball game.
Afterwards Galway manager Padraic Joyce spoke to Galway Bay FM's Kevin Dwyer.
Kevin also caught up with man of the match John Daly.
