National
Road Relays Championships
Galway teams will chase more National silverware at
the National Road relays championships that will be held in Raheny, Dublin next
Sunday 28th April. Galway City Harriers will field both Ladies and Men's teams
led by Aisling Joyce and Neill Keane, and Castlegar and Craughwell also likely
to feature well in what is a most exciting competition held over a one lap
course on the famed Raheny circuit.

Track and field championships
A busy month of May lies ahead on the track and
field circuit in Galway, with both Juvenile and Senior championships down for
decision
The County Juvenile championships will be held over
two days, on Sunday May 5th for the younger ages, the U9 to 11 pairs and U12
ages, and the 12th May for the older ages from U13 to U19, both in Dangan at
the Regional Sports centre track.
The Junior, Senior and Masters events will follow
the successful format of other years, with three evenings of competition in
Dangan, on Thursday evenings, starting on May 23rd, and continuing on May 30th
and June 6th.
Registration is open via club secretaries for the
Juvenile programmes at present.
Windsor
Galway 5k Series
The 2019 Galway 5k Series kicks off next week, Tuesday
April 30th at 7.45pm in Caltra. The series is a sell out, with Windsor Motors
on board as sponsor this year for the six race series of events. Number
collection is from 6.30 pm on the night.
Fit
for Life
Galway City Harriers Fit For Life beginners programme
starts this Thursday 25th April at 7pm, with new runners or those wishing to
return most welcome. Registration point is Westside Library in Galway City.
