Galway United Women needed a late goal to beat Cliftonville in the opening game in the defense of the All-Island Cup on Saturday.
After going a goal down in the 11th minute through Caitlin McGuinness, United regrouped with the equaliser coming from Emily Fitzgerald in the 22nd.
It remained that way at half time and continued until the 95th minute when Kate Thompson netted the winner.
