Galway GAA are holding their annual convention on Monday, December 9 where the contested positions for their board will be voted on. The positions that are being contested are chairperson, treasurer and central council delegate . There are three nominations for the vacant position of treasurer Mark Brennan of Turloughmore, Tommy Kelly from Corofin and Enda Mulkerrins of St Thomas'. Current chairperson Paul Bellew will contest two positions in the upcoming convention, he is being challenged by Tuam Stars' Alan Mongey for his current seat as chairperson and Mr Bellew is also going for central council delegate where the other nomination is David Burke of Salthill Knocknacarra.
