Galway senior football manager Padraic Joyce has made three changes for tomorrow’s (Sunday, 24th April) eagerly awaited Connacht senior championship quarter-final against Mayo.

Connor Gleeson comes into goal for the injured Conor Flaherty; Dylan McHugh is named at half-back, and Shane Walsh is at corner forward, replacing Sean Fitzgerald and Dessie Conneely respectively.

Kilconly’s Niall Daly makes his championship debut.

In all, there are four changes from the side that lost to Mayo in last year’s Connacht Final in Croke Park with Jack Glynn, Jack Daly and Finnian O Laoi also named.

The team in full:

Connor Gleeson in goal;

A full back line of Liam Silke, captain Sean Kelly and Jack Glynn;

Dylan McHugh, John Daly and Kieran Molloy are the half backs;

Paul Conroy partners Matthew Tierney in midfield;

Finnian O Laoi, Niall Daly and Johnny Heaney are on the 40;

And an inside line of Robert Finnerty, Damien Comer and Shane Walsh.

Cillian O’Connor is poised to make his first Mayo start in nearly a year.

He’s been named at full-forward for Sunday’s Connacht football quarter-final with Galway.

But there’s no room in the Mayo panel for either Rob Hennelly or Paddy Durcan.

Throw-in at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park tomorrow is 4pm and we’ll have live coverage here on Galway Bay FM.
