Excitement builds to 150th Galway Races

In just eleven weeks the white flag will be raised for the 2019 Galway Races Summer Festival which is the 150th running of the Festival.

It was announced last week that prize money has been increased for the festival with the introduction of more big races in Ballybrit including races for those horses who did not qualify for the Galway Plate or the Galway Hurdle.

Racecourse manager at Ballybrit, Michael Maloney, spoke to George McDonagh on Over The Line.
