Galway United have begun the 2025 SSE Airtricity League Premier Division with a score draw against Cork City in Turners Cross on Friday (14th February 2025).
The Tribesmen had to come from behind twice to ensure a share of the spoils. Malik Dijksteel put the hosts ahead on 34 minutes but Patrick Hickey equalised in first half injury time. Greg Bolger put Cork back ahead on 51 minutes. But substitute Vince Borden's strike nine minutes from time ensured Galway United got a draw.
