Connacht are looking for a first competitive victory in eight games against Leinster this Saturday (19th October 2024) in the BKT United Rugby Championship.
They last met in May when the eastern province won 33-7 at the RDS. Their last showdown in Galway was last December when Leinster prevailed 24-22. Connacht scrum-half Ben Murphy started for Leinster that day.
Connacht haven't beaten Leinster since winning 47-10 in April 2018 thanks to tries from Niyi Adeolokun (2), Kieran Marmion (2), Tiernan O'Halloran, Bundee Aki and Caolin Blade. Connacht legend John Muldoon marked his final home game playing for the province with a 76th minute conversion.
Shamus Hurly-Langton could become available for Connacht against Leinster in the United Rugby Championship next weekend as he progresses from a shoulder injury. Josh Murphy has a hearing over last week’s red card against Ulster.
Leading up to the game, Connacht winger Shayne Bolton chatted to Galway Bay FM's William Davies.
William also caught up with Connacht head coach Pete Wilkins.
Kick-off at Dexcom Stadium on Saturday is 7.35pm and we'll have LIVE coverage here on Galway Bay FM.
