Connacht squad announced for FAI Interpro Tournament

The Football Association of Ireland have introduced a new Amateur inter-provincial tournament to determine the country’s representatives for the 2024/25 UEFA Regions Cup. The competition will feature provincial teams from Leinster, Munster, Ulster, and Connacht, competing in a round-robin format over three days. Connacht will host the inaugural event from March 22nd to 24th in Sligo. The winning team of this tournament will represent Ireland in the UEFA Regions Cup, facing teams from Northern Ireland, Switzerland, and the victor of a preliminary group including Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Sweden. The group stage fixtures are scheduled for October, with the venue to be announced later.

The Connacht squad for the Interprovincial tournament has been announced, with three players from Salthill Devon, three from Athenry and one from Galway Hibs.

Connacht play Leinster in their opening game next Friday (March 22nd) at 7 pm in the McSharry Park Astro, they play Munster at 2 pm on Saturday (March 23rd) in Ballisodare Astro and they play Ulster on Sunday (March 24th) at 12 pm in McSharry Park Astro in Sligo.
