Connacht Womens Coach Jarlath Naughton has named his squad for the forthcoming interprovincials which open with an away trip to Munster on the 1st of September. Naughton has gone for an experienced squad with the return of Sarah Jane Fox from injury and internationals Ciara O’Connor, Nichola Fryday, Edel McMahon, Mary Healy, Nicole Fowley and Mairead Coyne.
Naughton has also included six new caps in the squad in Rachel Healy from Railway Union, Emma Hannon from Galwegians, four from Suttonians in Julia Bauer, Aifric O’Brien, Lauren Retig and Catherine Martin, Elizabeth McNicholas from Tuam, Ellen Taite from Mullingar and Moya Griffin from Tullamore. The captain and vice captain will be named closer to the start of the inter pros.
Connacht play Munster on the 1st of September in Irish Independent Park in Cork at 2pm followed by Leinster on Sunday the 9th in the Sportsground at 3pm with the final interpro at home to Ulster on Saturday 15th in the Sportsground at 2.30pm.
