Connacht Schools Cup Competitions Reach Quarter and Semi-Final Stages

This week is an important one in schools cup rugby in the province as the Senior and Junior Cups reach the Semi-Final stage while the development cup competitions also reach the knock out stages.

Following Garbally's win in the Senior Cup Semi-Final yesterday, all eyes will now be on Creggs tomorrow (Thursday) as suprise package Roscommon CBS face Colaiste Iognaid (The JEz) with that game kicking off at 12.30.

The first of the Connacht Schools Junior Cup Semi-Finals takes place this afternoon with Colaiste Iognaid taking on St Muirdeachs in Crowley Park with the second Semi-Final a repeat of the Senior Cup Semi-Final as Garbally College face Marist in Garbally at 3.30.

The Junior and Senior Cup Finals will be played as a triple header with the Senior Development Cup Final on the 13th of March at the Sportsground. In that competition, Colaiste Einde and Pres Headford meet in the Quarter Final this afternoon with the winners playing Gallen Community School in the Semi-Final. Scoil Chuimsiteach Chiarain faces Gortnor Abbey tomorrow in An Cheathru Rua at 12 Noon with the winners taking on St Muiredachs in the other Semi-Final. Those Semi-Finals are scheduled for the 6th of March.
