The Connacht Post Primary Schools Senior Football and Hurling Championships are reaching the Semi-Final Stages this week. The Senior A Football Semi-Final between St Jarlaths Tuam and Rice College and St Geralds and St Attractas Tubbercurry will be both be played tomorrow at the Centre of Excellence in Bekan with both throwing in at 12.30pm.
The second of the Connacht Post Primary Schools Senior B football Championship Semi-Finals takes place this evening in the Connacht Centre of Excellence with St Josephs The Bish taking on St Nathy’s College at 6pm. The winners face Scoil Mhuire Strokestown in the final on Saturday.
Meanwhile, St Pauls Oughterard will await the result of the second Senior C Football Semi-Final between Colaiste Chiaráin from Athlone and Gortnor Abbey this afternoon to see who they will face in the Connacht Final on Saturday. St Pauls Oughterard beat Colaiste Na Coirbe in the Semi-Final yesterday by 3-13 to 3-8.
Next Saturday sees the finals of the Connacht Post Primary Schools Senior A And B Hurling Championships. The B Final between Portumna Community School and Calascantius College Oranmore throws in at 2 followed by the A Final between Presentation College Athenry and Gort Community School at 4pm.
The Connacht Colleges Senior Hurling C Final also takes place on Saturday Afternoon with St Killians New Inn taking on Seamount College Kinvara in Pearse Stadium at 12.30.
