Connacht's under-18 boys came up just short at the FAI Schools Interprovincials last weekend (December 8th-10th) when they finished one point behind winners Munster.
A 0-0 draw on the Sunday was all they could muster in difficult weather conditions but it was a tremendous turnaround after a bad start to the tournament.
Alan Murphy's team lost 2-0 on the Friday to Ulster but rebounded well to beat Leinster 2-0 the following day. New Galway United signing Kyle Fitzgerald got the brace in Dublin.
But they needed to beat Munster to overturn them in the final round but didn't manage it.
Overall, eight Galway players started every game and the full panel is below.
On the 'Sunday Sports Show' with Galway Bay FM's Darren Kelly, manager Alan Murphy looked back on the tournament.
