Coiste Iomana Na Na nOg have launched of the Ocean Hygiene
Supplies and Packaging Juvenile Hurling Freestyle Skills challenge. One that is
open to players in County Galway eligible to play u14 and lower this year. To
enter simply record a short video showcasing your freestyle hurling skills. Entries
are to be sent either to the Galway Hurling Féile Facebook page by either the
parents of the entrant or by the official Facebook account of the players club.
They may also be emailed by the club Secretary or Juvenile Secretary to [email protected]
In all cases the person submitting the video must have the permission of the parents of the entrant.
The rules of the challenge are as follows:
- The skills demonstrated must involve a hurley and a sliothar
- All entrants must wear either their club or Galway top.
- A prize of a Galway jersey togs and socks will be given to the entry judged the best by the adjudicators.
- All other entrants will be entered into a draw for a Galway jersey
- Closing dates for entries Midnight on Monday June 1st
- The decision of the adjudicators is final
- The criteria are :
- Hurling skills
- Innovation & Originality
- Entertainment value
- At all times the player must be supervised by an appropriate adult and under no circumstances must a player be put in any danger during the challenge.
- Coiste Iomána na nÓg has the authority to refuse to publish any video.
Please bring this to the attention to the appropriate people and parents within your club.
Any suggestion for other activities for juvenile hurlers during this cessation of activities is welcome and will be given every consideration.
