Clarinbridge Rower Katie O’Brien Returns Home With World Championship Bronze

Irish Rowing celebrated over the past weekend with four boats qualified for the Olympic Games in Tokyo next year but that could still be five if Clarinbridge rower Katie O’Brien can get a partner for her boat following an incredible bronze medal at the World Championships in Austria.

Katie’s bronze medal came after a stunning performance in the PR2 Womens Singles Final where she took bronze behind Kathryn Ross of Australia and Anika Van Der Meer of the Netherlands.

On her return to Galway after the championships, Katie called into the Galway Bay FM studios where she spoke to John Mulligan about the championships and her career so far…
